Just install it on your USB drive and run on any Windows PC with no need to install the program or leave any traces of your information!

EverNote Portable provides the same key features as EverNote 2.0 Beta with the exception of AIR-search. It also includes a sneak preview of the next generation EverNote 2.0 user interface as well as several new features simplifying it use and improving note management.

The Portable version of EverNote was developed in response to numerous requests to provide both data and software portability. It can be installed on any USB flash drive or other removable media such as SD cards.

With EverNote Portable, you can keep all your data and the application on a USB drive; this allows you to access and edit your EverNote data on any PC irrespective of whether EverNote software is installed on that PC or not.

You can also encrypt notes

you want to keep private or protect from accidental changes/deletion, or protect the entire database with a single password.

Here are some key features of “EverNote Portable “:

· AIR-search in images: Search photos and graphics stored in your notes to find embedded typed or handwritten text. Use it for snapshots of whiteboards, product labels, in-store packaging and pricing, business cards, trade show badges, and more. Learn More.
· Note List: For added convenience with longer tapes of notes, a new Note List button on the toolbar allows you to display an index of your notes for the currently selected category by auto-generated or manually entered title.
· Category Locator: For users with a large number of categories, a new Categories button displays a search box to quickly locate a category by name or partial name.
· Time Categories: A new built-in Auto Category is available that enables you to easily search for notes by date, or date range, that they were created.
· Note Flag: You can now flag notes and track flagged notes using the new “Flag” auto-category.
· Embedded To-Dos: Click Ctrl-Shift-C anywhere to place a checkbox at the cursor position in any note. This means the note will automatically appear in the ToDo category until all of the boxes are checked off.
· Category Stamp Dialog: Improved tabs allow fast and simple assignment and removal of notes in Manual and Automatic categories.
· Universal Clipper: Our new, experimental tool to clip any visible screen content quickly and conveniently into EverNote or to the clipboard and paste into any application. The Clipper is an optional separate download that requires EverNote to be running.

Limitations:

Because of the registry-less nature of EverNote Portable, the current version has certain limitations, particularly in the way it interacts with other desktop applications:
· It does not include EverNote Web and Email Clippers for Internet Explorer, Firefox, Outlook and Thunderbird. However, if EverNote Clippers are already installed on the computer where EverNote Portable is used, it will be able to use such installed Clippers. In general, EverNote Portable relies on the Universal Clipper to capture content from other applications, as explained above.
· Links between notes and from external applications to notes are not supported in EverNote Portable (they heavily depend on the Windows registry).
· The Windows TEMP directory is used in certain cases, so users must ensure that they have sufficient privileges to write into it.
· EverNote databases (.enb files) will not be automatically associated with the EverNote application. It is user responsibility to create such associations.
